This Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions governing cancellations, refunds, and rebooking for all flight tickets and travel services booked through Metairfare (metairfare.com). By completing a booking on our platform, you agree to the terms set out below.
1. General Cancellation Terms
- Every booking made on Metairfare is subject to cancellation charges levied by the respective airline, which may vary depending on the flight route, airline, and booking class.
- Unless expressly stated otherwise in the offer description at the time of booking, all airline ticket reservations are non-refundable.
- Some bookings may not be cancelled partially; the entire itinerary must be cancelled as per the specific airline's policy.
- Cancellation fees and amendment charges are subject to change in accordance with the airline's fare rules, and may vary based on flight timings, travel dates, and booking class.
- You are not entitled to a refund if you cancel your booking, fail to show up for your flight, or do not use any portion of the purchased service.
2. How to Request a Cancellation
All cancellation requests must be submitted directly to Metairfare. Cancellations cannot be processed through the airline directly for bookings made via our platform. You may reach us through any of the following channels:

3. 72-Hour Cancellation Window
If you need to cancel your ticket within 72 hours of the scheduled departure, we strongly recommend contacting Metairfare directly and immediately. Please note:
- Last-minute cancellations are subject to the airline's applicable fare rules, which may result in full forfeiture of the ticket value.
- Metairfare will make every effort to assist you, but cannot guarantee a refund for cancellations within this window.
4. Airline-Initiated Cancellations & Delays
4.1 Flight Delays
- Metairfare continuously monitors flight status and will keep you informed of any delays, diversions, or cancellations through our customer support team.
- If your flight is delayed by more than 3 hours and you wish to cancel your trip as a result, please contact Metairfare immediately. In such circumstances, penalty charges on your ticket may be waived at the airline's discretion.
- We recommend staying updated with real-time notifications regarding your flight status.
4.2 Flight Cancellations by the Airline
- If your booked flight is cancelled by the airline, Metairfare will work to rebook you on the next available flight at no additional cost.
- Alternatively, you may request a refund subject to the airline's fare rules. Metairfare will process your refund claim once the refund is received from the airline.
- Metairfare is not liable for compensation, costs, or expenses arising from airline-initiated cancellations, delays, or schedule changes, as these are entirely within the airline's control.
4.3 Force Majeure
Metairfare shall not be held liable for cancellations, delays, or changes caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, tsunamis)
- Severe weather conditions
- Acts of war or terrorism
- Government-imposed restrictions or travel bans
- Labor disputes or strikes
- Public health emergencies or pandemics
- Air traffic control issues
In such cases, we will make every reasonable effort to assist you in rebooking or obtaining a refund from the airline, but no compensation or reimbursement from Metairfare will be provided.
5. Rebooking
If your flight has been cancelled or significantly delayed and you wish to rebook:
- Contact Metairfare via phone, email, or WhatsApp using the details in Section 2.
- We will make our best efforts to secure a seat on the next available flight on your preferred route.
- Any changes to flight schedule post booking tickets are subject to the airline's fare rules and availability.
6. Refund Policy
6.1 Eligibility
- Refunds will only be considered where the applicable airline fare rules permit a refund.
- All refund requests must be initiated directly with Metairfare. Refunds cannot be claimed directly from the airline for bookings made through our platform.
- Any upfront discounts or promotional code discounts applied at the time of booking will be deducted from the refund amount for partially utilized tickets.
6.2 Refund Process
- Once your cancellation request is received, our team will verify the applicable fare rules with the airline.
- You will receive an email acknowledgement confirming receipt of your request. This acknowledgement does not guarantee eligibility for a refund.
- Refunds will be processed only after Metairfare receives the refund amount from the airline.
- Processing time: Refunds typically take a minimum 4 to 6 weeks to reflect in your account from the date of approval, depending on your bank and payment method.
6.3 Refund Method
- Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used at the time of booking.
- Credit card payments will receive a charge reversal to the same card; debit card payments will be credited back to the same debit account.
- No cash refunds will be issued.
7. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be issued under the following circumstances:
- The ticket was booked under a non-refundable fare class.
- The cancellation is made after the departure of the flight.
- The passenger failed to check in on time or missed the flight due to personal reasons.
- The passenger was denied boarding due to incomplete documentation, visa issues, or failure to meet entry requirements.
- Fraudulent activity or violation of Metairfare's booking terms and conditions.
- Force majeure events as described in Section 4.3.
8. Changes After Purchase
Any modification to a confirmed booking (including date changes, route changes, or passenger name corrections) is subject to the following:
- All changes are subject to the airline's applicable fare rules and seat availability.
- Change requests may attract a change fee charged by the airline, plus any fare difference between the original and new itinerary.
- Changes must be requested by contacting Metairfare directly. Requests made outside the permitted time limit may incur additional charges.
- Metairfare reserves the right to charge an administrative fee for processing changes on your behalf.
9. Payment Disputes & Chargebacks
At Metairfare, we are committed to resolving any payment concerns quickly and fairly. If you believe there has been an error or unauthorized charge on your payment statement, we encourage you to reach out to us first — we are available 24x7 and will make every effort to resolve your concern promptly.

Most concerns can be resolved faster through direct communication than through a formal bank dispute, which can take several weeks to process.
9.2 How We Handle Payment Concerns
Once you contact us regarding a payment issue, our team will:
- Acknowledge your concern within 24 hours
- Review your booking, payment records, and applicable fare rules
- Provide a clear explanation of all charges applied to your booking
- Where eligible, initiate a refund or adjustment in accordance with the airline's fare rules and our Refund Policy (Section 6)
9.3 Dispute Resolution Process
If you are dissatisfied with our initial response, you may escalate your concern to our senior customer relations team at care@metairfare.com with the subject line "Payment Dispute Escalation." We will review your case and respond within 48–72 business hours.
9.4 Bank or Card Issuer Disputes
If you choose to raise a dispute directly with your bank or card issuer, please be aware of the following:
- For non-refundable bookings, Metairfare will provide relevant documentation, including booking confirmations, fare rules, and communication records to your bank as part of the dispute review process.
- For bookings that have been fully or partially utilized, or where services were delivered as confirmed, Metairfare will submit supporting evidence to demonstrate that the charge was valid and authorized.
- For cancellations or disruptions arising from force majeure events (as described in Section 4.3), Metairfare will clarify to your bank that such events are beyond our operational control and that refund eligibility rests with the airline.
9.5 Our Commitment to You
Metairfare is fully committed to transparent, fair, and timely resolution of all payment concerns. We maintain complete records of all bookings, communications, and transactions to ensure that every dispute — whether resolved directly or through your bank — is handled with accuracy and integrity.
10. Amendments to This Policy
Metairfare reserves the right to amend or update this Cancellation Policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be published on our website at metairfare.com. We recommend reviewing this policy before each booking to ensure you are aware of the current terms.
